Welcome!

My name is Christine Vervitsiotis. I'm a licensed mental health counselor and the sole owner of All Shades of Blue, PLLC.

This name was inspired by a song of the same name by Gregory Alan Isakov. This song spoke to me when I was going through a personal loss, particularly the line 'your heart's a thousand colors, but they're all shades of blue.'

In the depths of our heavier emotions, we tend to sink into those feelings and isolate ourselves, feeling unable or unfit to connect to other people. But the song continues, 'broken bottles shine just like stars, make a wish anyway. Just your smile lit a sixty-watt bulb in my house that was darkened for days, I've been thinking you probably should stay.'

Sometimes we feel that we can only connect with people when we are feeling 'well' or at least strong enough to pretend to be. Therapy offers an opportunity to just be, to be seen and to be accepted, exactly where you are.

That is the place from which we can truly start to heal.

I've worked in the behavioral health space since 2005, primarily in community-based non-profit organizations. I have many years as a direct service clinician and several more as a mental health supervisor and manager.

I am endlessly curious about people and systems.

I am warm, kind and genuine.

I view mental health through a holistic lens. I gravitate toward education and experiences that embrace the diversity and complexity of what it means to be human.

I currently work 3 days per week at my office in Lynnwood, providing individual and group therapy to adults 18+. I am also an independent contactor with City of Shoreline/ Shoreline Senior Center where I provide mental health services (including groups and presentations) to the older adult community.

My goal for this season is to move more slowly, and to move with more intention. Professionally, I am trying to incorporate more movement, art and play into my work with clients.
